Uganda and Rwanda March 2017. This was an amazing trip, my 16th to Uganda and my 1st to Rwanda. I was joined by my good friend and board member Greg Yancey. During my time in Uganda I was once again hosted by my friend and co-worker Pastor Fred Muyimba. Past Fred and I have been working together for many years, planting churches in Uganda and doing leadership training with pastors throughout the country. During my trip we had the honor of visiting a number of those churches. The photo above is a picture of me at one of the new churches. They are in the process of building a new building. We spent some time on that land looking at the new foundation. At one point we gathered all around that land and prayed that God would provide all they need to finish this all important project.
In another village where Pastor Fred grew up we are building a school and an orphanage. Empty Tomb has been helping raise money for that project and I am happy to report that the construction is almost completed. We were just given an incredible gift of $20,000 to help complete that work. What started out as a dream will soon become a reality. As you give to ETM your gifts are impacting the world and helping others build for eternity.
The last leg of the trip we were hosted by Arise Rwanda Ministries founder John Gasangwa. I was so humbled and blessed to be with Greg and John and see all that God is doing in that country. I truly believe that I will have the opportunity to return and minister to the people of Rwanda.
ETM Wins Award!
This August, Empty Tomb Ministries was honored here in Fort Collins, Colorado at the Larimer County Jail. ETM was recognized as the Program of the Year for 2017. What an honor it was to receive this award. I want to thank these men: Jeff Monson, Mike Marquez, Mark Bower and Dan Lukensow, for all their hard work and dedication. Each week we have this amazing opportunity to enter the jail and teach the men about “Authentic Manhood.” The Holy Spirit has touched many lives through our efforts, lives that have been changed for all eternity. Thanks to all who give, pray and support ETM—you help make all of this possible!
